I spent the afternoon filming this week’s Chalkupy event on the Plaza in downtown Oakland. I mounted my HVX200 on a monopod strapped to the ladder and filmed the entire process in one continuous take. I’ll eventually make a speeded up time lapse sequence out of it, showing the process from layout to chalking in.
In the meantime, here are some still photos I shot while the camera was running.

Really nice framing. That’s why I love to see other people’s photography, They see things differently and beautifully. Love how you focus on hands and juxtapositions.
Thanks for the kind words. I’ve always liked watching hands work! With Chalkupy, it’s hard to shoot faces because everyone is always bent over looking down, but hands tell a good story here.
